This site calls it Registered Rep Advisor Forums
The Form ADV uses the term AdviserI thought “Adviser” was the more typical British or Canadian spelling, but someone once told me actually “adviser” is a generic reference to an adviser, where “Advisor” is typically used in titles. But it is often used interchangably.
Adviser if you are RIA. ie. Investment Adviser Act of 1940.
Advisor if you are a FA. Advisorsaurus if you are a Dinosaur that traveled through time to work as a FA.Its okay. Clients don’t know the difference between a broker and RIA - I doubt you’ve lost business over the misspell.
And that's why I'm considered a Compliance RAIN MAKER![quote=Wet_Blanket]Its okay. Clients don’t know the difference between a broker and RIA - I doubt you’ve lost business over the misspell.

I actually try to use that term on a daily basis around the office. But instead of awe inspiration, it usually just gets a laugh.
