Hey guys. I’ve done some cold calling in the past. I made my own lists using manta.com. I would get a notepad (yes oldschool I know) and write down the name of the business, biz owner, phone number. I would make a vertical line to separate for tally marks for dialed, contacted, and prospect.

That worked ok. It seemed to be very time consuming and left little room to add notes for phone conversations, info about follow ups etc. Basically I feel like I was inefficient with my time and organization. I’m wanting to start a new round of cold calling.

How do you guys get lists? Do you ask wholesalers (if so, can you give me a sample dialogue?), do you build your own (if so, how do you go about this?), do you buy them? Do you guys have anyway to import lists onto excel? Do you guys have any excel templates with prospecting that you’d be willing to share? I’m probably going to start working on mine.

Just FYI, I’ve only called businesses. This is mainly Bc I’m scared of the DNC list.
