For those of you who have prospected a lot of businesses, what type/size of business has been most successful for you?

I have until now prospected only individuals, but am ready to mix it up a little.  Did you use the yellow pages or buy call lists and why?   Thanks ahead.

Use Lord Abbett Intelligence.  It has all the ERISA data (like any of those other websites where you pay for it).  I’m not sure if you need a logon or not.  I go right through the Jones System, so it might just log me on automatically.  If you need help, call your local LA wholesaler.  It has lots of good lists you can pull for free.

What has been most successful?  Small businesses that are successful (i.e. NOT retail/restaurant/etc.) such as small manufacturers, professionals (doctors, lawyers, cpa's, etc.).  Not that I have a LOT of any of these, but they are all stable and have some money, and generally have better employee bases (versus the $9/hr. clerks or waitstaff).  A little tougher to break into, but more worth your while.
