When you introduce yourself on the phone to a prospect and they give the “I’m not interested” and you only have time to say one thing before they hang up what do you say. I say, “I didn’t give you anything to be interested in yet”. Just looking for some more ideas. Thanks in advance for your help.

What did you say that would make them uninterested?

i try one pass, " i can appreciate that you might not be interested right now, is that because you are fully invested?" After that, I’m done, on to the next call. But I’m not an expert. When i started to build my business 10 years ago, the phone was not the only, but a big part of my efforts and my success. But my level of calling lately makes me a piker in the cold calling world. That is about to change, big time. Going to war starting this week.

That’s exactly why we need to talk!

“What is it that concerns you about a pay raise?”

"Is it bad timing on my part, or are you not interested in tax free rates."

I'm serious.  If you said something that would gain their interest, they wouldn't say "I'm not interested.".    Outside your script, I'd hang up and move to the next call.

Your wife/husband has an account and I’m calling to confirm the transfer into their offshore account… You’re busy… so I apologize for taking up your time. Have a good day.

“neither am I, I’m quite happily married, however you may be interested in …”

You should be thanking them, for not wasting your time.

Arguing with "not interested", is time better spent on just making more dials. If you get an EXCESSIVE number of "not interested", that means you might have a bad list, a bad intro line, or some other technique isssue.

I always have started on the phone like this. "I'm Big Firepower, I'm with XYZ Company, the REASON I called is..."

thankyouverymuch! Click Dial Next!!!!!!!

I would keep track of the those responses. You are going to get them with any targeted message and list. If you get too many of those responses you have to change your pitch. You only have 15 seconds.
