Cold calling seems to be a popular way to obtain business.  are there any suggestions on where to find cold calling scripts?  Perhaps some of you out there would not sharing the ones that you use.  Thanks for your help.

I think I shared this, but I tried Roogling this a couple days ago and had a really hard time finding anything. I would also be interested in seeing what updated scripts people are using.

I believe Squash is a ROOGLE master.  I have trouble searching as well.

But I do like that the name I started is being used so much.  My own little piece of immortality.

Go to:

www.billgood.com   search around a bit and you will find CC scripts.   These scripts are older than dirt. But if ain't broke why fix it? They work just fine.   __________________   Or a short script;   intro yourself and then ask:   Are you happy with your portfolio results lately?   Are you happy with your advisor?   Any hesitation is reason to pursue a conversation. keep it short on the first call.   _________________________     Another approach would be product. I like bonds. However, in this market try this:   Intro then:   I'm calling with information on an investment that gives you the upside of the stock market without risking your principal. Does that sound like something you could have an interest in? (equity linked CD) Variations include opening with a question: Did you lose money when the market crashed this past year? then: If i could show you...   _______________________________ And a bond MF   Mr Jones i'm calling with information on a tax free investment that yields over 7% tax free. That's the same as a CD yielding 11%. Do you have any CD's Yielding 11%? (ORNAX) ( that it doesn't match up to a cd is not relevent in the prospecting call)   Or   I'm calling with information on an investment that yields over 7% tax free. Does that sound like something you could have an interest in? Or: could i send you information on it?   Yes   terrific let me verify your info here;   I have you down at 123 main st and that's in anytown?   yes   And your last name is Spelled S M I T H?   Yes   First name John?   Ok if i call you john?   Sure   John, terrific, I'll get that info right out to you, one more question; If you do like the idea our minimum investment is $50,000, I assume if you like the idea that wouldn't be a problem for you?   No problem at all.   great, i'll get that out to you and call you back in a few days after you've had a chance to review it. If you have any questions before i call please feel free to call me.   OK, will do.   have a great day click dialtone. ( let prospect hang up first)     There are dozens more, but you get the point.

Here is what I am using any thoughts?

"I know a lot of investors portfolios have gotten crushed over the last year and I wanted to give you and your advisor are doing about it"   or   With all the turbulence in the financial markets over the past year, I am calling to ask "Are you perfectly happy with the financial advice you are have been recieving, and with the financial plan you and your advisor have prepared for you"   or   The reason for my call is to let you know that I will be over in your area tomorrow afternoon meeting with some clients, when I am done would it be ok if I stopped by to dropp off an idea that has been working real well for some of my clients
