Anyone had any luck prospecting dentists? I was talking to one the other day at my daughter’s ballet class and they seem to be flush with extra money and have no idea what to invest in…

Does simply calling the office work?

I've found cold calling their offices does not work...they have too many gatekeepers.  however, I switched dentists not long ago and when in the dentist chair, I asked a lot of questions, became friendly with the technicians and asked the dentist what they do for business development. He's a client now AND the endontist he sent me to for a root canal is in the process of having me do an analysis.  The hygienist also always asks about my business and is probably a good referral source I'm cultivating.

Now, I don't reccommend needing a root canal as a prospecting method, but you really must take advantage of every opportunity :)
Also - I've become connected with one of the labs that makes dentures...and they have referred me on a case....other ways to get to them are via the machine shops that make the posts for implants and many of them are members of local country clubs. You could also try a seminar on financing dental equipment or retirement plans for dentists...run it off hours so they can attend and try and get 4-5 at least in the door. If they can't come have them send their office manager. In time, you'll get a few.

Hey Alice you are useless… you have never provided a shred of good info…

Knowing that your an advisor out there keeps me going to add more clients so they aren’t served by you…
