Good day everyone, new to the forum and wanted to have some constructive conversation. So the question is:

After you cold call a lead (or this could be in person), what are the best questions you've been asking to get the conversation off to a good start? For example, you call and get permission to speak to the prospect about some idea, what questions are you using to get them talking?

I've been asking, "So tell me a little bit about what's been working best for you?", and some times they know their investments and it sparks a conversation, but often times it trails off about how their current advisor picked their portfolio and they have little idea what's going on with it.

I'm looking forward to seeing what others have had success using, and this could help quite a few of us get on the right foot faster with prospects. Thanks everyone!
