For guys who were around before DNC, what was the percentage drop in cold calling success? Have a guy in the office who stopped cold calling after DNC  and swears to me that things changed dramatically. I keep hearing the same excuse by most guys here.

They are right, there is no longer a reason to call residential. I think you would be better off door knocking residential and having weekly seminars… I heard mailing works…all you have to do is wait for the phone to ring.

In all honesty I think a lot of people dismiss it for a couple of reasons:

1. Older brokers tell them it doesn't work 2. THe DNC gave people an excuse 3. Unprofessional, like door knocking 4. A lot of people just can keep up the daily grind of making 150-300 dials

Yeah, you are right. All the guys in my office who use to call before the DNC said that it does not work now.

I don’t know how they can say that with 20k worth of numbers for one town and that is for residential only.
