Us Jones guys used to be able to sporadically get onto the other site, but someone in HQ must have been monitoring it and they shut it down tight.   Consequently, if I feel the need to waste some time, it has to be here or www.armorgames.com. 

I could get to their site on my phone, but I'd rather not have to have surgery on my carpel tunnels because I want to participate in a forum.

Can Jones guys bring a Netbook or laptop with a Myfi card to the office?

We're not supposed to.  If you do, you just have to register it with Compliance.

With all due respect.  Why go to the office if you are not going to work?  Stay at home.  It has to be more comfortable than your office.  From a partnership perspective, 2 hours in the office working is more productive than 8 hours in the office doing nothing.  The minute I am not working I walk out the door.  Unfortunately it is usually about 6:00 at night.

I get most of my business done in a 2 hour period, but I often stay in the office to be available for clients should they need me.  That time isn't productive, so I do other things.

I'd rather be here and be bored than be gone and have a client ask why I'm never in the office.

I'm with you there.  A lot of clients complain that there former brokers were "never around" or they were "in retirement mode", or they always had to talk to the junior broker or assistant.  Having said that, I always take advantage of the freedom to come and go when I need to do things.  But I feel what we do is a service, and part of that service is being available for client calls.  Although ytrewq did not get to where he is by providing poor client service, so there are obviously ways around it.

The other site sucks.. Nothing but posting of porn pictures and different advisors outing eachother... Check it out today.. There looks to be a mutiny(spelling?). Wouldn't be surprised if they flocked back over here...

Squash, you can chalk up 99.9% of the problems on that forum to one individual who has been banned here.  There are several participants who post both places, but if they feel anything like I do, their patience is wearing thin with Biofreeze, much as their patience has worn thin with the format here.  Too bad the perfect forum doesn't exist.

Like all forums, the conversation always falls off a cliff, because someone trys to be(clever,smart, funny, insult, stupid, annoying).... I looked through the threads and some of them seemed to be good, but then there were 8 pages of people insulting each other..

Format here is weird, and the site is still very slow, but the professionalism is quite a bit higher..
