Anyone disagree that the Colts and Saints are playing for the game of the year? Who is the winner?

Pats vs Vikings, Pats winning

Nov 23, 2009 3:05 pm

Going to see the Pats play NO this Monday.  If they can beat NO in NO,  I think the Pats have to be a favorite in the AFC.

For some reason, I think the Vikings are going to choke later this season, my NFC pick is Philly.
I love the Pats.  But dear lord, I think Indy has our number this year.  When teams play Manning, it's like getting a shot at dating the hottest chick in school - you stumble all over yourself, say stupid stuff, trip on your shoelaces.  That's how teams look against him this year.  Not to mention the vaunted Hoodie offense.  Belechik got spooked by Manning and made a bonehead mistake.  The Pats lack depth on Defense also. On the bright side, Manning pretty much IS the Colts.  So as Manning faulters (which is rare), so go the Colts.

Neither are Welker and Moss. The Colts have lost a few DB's and they are a Reggie Wayne or Dallas Clark sprained ankle from big trouble. Manning is on fire but the Pats had that game won before Maroney's fumble on the 1 inch line. Maroney won't be getting goal line carries when Morris comes back. I think they should can the NFC title game and make Pats/ Colts best of 3!

My Broncos sure fell apart!

Started out six and OHHH and now they will be lucky to win another game!   They could not trade Simms for a one armed water boy at this point.

I think the Colts have the Pats number.  Look out for Tennessee instead.  Vince Young has finally figured out what it takes to play at the pro level and he's a monster talent (even if he's not a monster intellect).  They have a great ground game to match.  Pats just look tired and thin on defense.  That's why Manning looked so much better in the second half.  On the other side, I don't see anyone touching the Vikings, including New Orleans.  The only chance the Colts have is sacking Favre into a concussion.  That being said, I still think Favre is an ass, athough a talented ass.
Philly?  LOL  Didn't hey lose to the Raiders??
The Vikings have lost to the Steelers, who lost twice to the Bengals who also lost to the Raiders, so the Vikings loss is almost as bad as the Eagles loss.  No ones laughing at people picking the Vikings to win it all.    E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   As long as Andy Reid stays out of his own way.

Thats what I’m saying.  AGEMAN thought it was laughable that the Eagles would be the NFC pick since they’ve lost to the Raiders, but I pointed out that the Vikings lost to a team that lost twice to a team that lost to the Raiders, so maybe its not such an insult to have lost to the Raiders.

Raiders to the Superbowl!!!  I have seen flawed, tenuous logic used to make an argument before, in fact I have done it myself.  This however takes the cake for absurdity.  A good team losing to the Raiders in their current form is at best disappointing, at worst embarrassing.  This however does not filter through the league by osmosis.
