Is it just me, or is everyone else fed up with celebrity recording artists that 1) don’t know the song; 2) feel it necessary to totally jack the song; 3) spend the whole first quarter singing the song.  Just watched Mario “sing” the anthem before the Eagles/Cards game, and the dude didn’t know the words.  I would LOVE to hear the song delivered cleanly, clearly and with the emphasis on the message, not the messenger.

And what's with some of the players putting hand on heart, some holding fist over heart with other hand raised, and some standing sullenly.  For $57,453 per hour, you'd think they could appear more...something.

There are WWII vets that roll over in their graves from Arlington to Normandy to Midway everytime one of those bozos does that to our national anthem.

One of the problems our country has is that we don't teach our kids what they're supposed to do with our national customs.  For instance, do you have to hold your hand over your heart when the national anthem is sung?  How do you hang a flag on the wall? When should you ever fly a flag upside down?  We have no respect for our country or the things it stands for.  Here's a link for your viewing pleasure:   http://usflag.org/flagetiquette.html
