Gas is going for under 2 bucks a gallon here and still no one can afford to buy it. Be careful what you wish for.

He’s from the “Land of Cheap Gas AND Full Serve”

Yep, that would be NJ. Specifically South Jersey.   The cheap gas is counter balanced by the highest in the nation property taxes. That's what happens when 3/4 of our property taxes go to support the 25 poorest school districts. The other 590 school districts in the state get to split the other 25%. 25 years of this, billions down the rat hole as scores haven't improved one percentage point in those 25 districts proving that the problem is poverty, not the schools. Still an attempt to change this crazy funding policy was met with a lawsuit. It ain't about educating the kids. It's only about the money.

It’s $1.91 at my local QT.  I never thought I’d see gas that started with a $1 again.  The big V8 in my truck made this summer rather expensive.

2.29 here…

Spiff what is QT?

Regional chain.  Quick Trip.  There’s one on just about every corner in STL and west through MO.  It’s a great store.  They control gas prices around here.

I've not found a convenience store in all my travels around this country that is anywhere as good as QT.  Most of them I've been in are dirty, dingy, and sometimes just plain scary.  Every QT I've ever been in has been clean, well maintained, and well lit.  It's a shame they're not publically traded.

$1.99 here.  On election day, I did almost 200 miles round trip on my Vulcan cruiser to see an elderly client and spent less than eight bucks for the gas.  Today it’s friggin’ 40 degrees…

Yes, but think of all those great trips you’ll be able to take next summer when gas is $1 a gallon the roads are open with no wives on cell phones and the weather is a perfect 72 degrees all summer long.  After all, Obama is the president.  Anything is possible.  YES WE CAN!! YES WE CAN!!

Indy, you need to install an accessory plug and buy some Gerbings Electrics. It’s like wearing an electric blanket while you ride. Be all warm and toasty while those around you sit in their ice encrusted cages. www.gerbing.com Remember on a bike Defroster? We don’t need no stinkin defroster.

Space- In SE PA, jersey de and MD we have WAWA. A very clean gas/store operation with the best gas prices. Like you, we'd buy the stock in a heart beat if they ever go public.

$2.79 a gallon here in Co.

But it is snowing and the ski areas are open

I have yet to find a dingy WAWA. A few borderline. WAWa is going to the big gas and go stations and closing most of the non gas stand alone stores. The stores in my neck of the woods are big and clean. Six to ten lanes of double pumps. I use Sheetz when in central PA, MD, and WVA. The one’s I’ve been in are not as big, well lit, or clean as my local wawa’s with the exception of one in Lebanon PA. They should all be that nice.

$1.99 in GA.

And I agree, QT are some of the best stations around.  Good coffee, clean restrooms.

I’ve never had their coffee, but their Coca-Cola is incredible!

I've been in a couple of WaWa stores when I visited Williamsburg, VA with my family.  They were nice.   It's nice to find a chain like that where you know whatever store you drop into is going to be pretty much the same.  Nice, clean, friendly.  Kind of like all the EDJ offices around the country.
