Suppose I have left the industry, lets say 1 year and 11 months ago; but just before 2 years(when license is revoked…meaning if I join again I need to retake series 7) . I get rehired at some other broker-dealer…and lets say I work only 1 week and quit…then is it true that my series 7 is now valid for another 2 yr. period?

The larger question you may want to ask yourself is, “Why do I want to keep

a license with it’s attendant responsibilities when I clearly don’t want to work

in the industry for which the license in question is required?”.

Shoot, why work a week? A couple of days ought to do it.

I think you MUST work for as long as it takes your fingerprint cards to dry.
