So far I have learned that PI insurance is a type of personal insurance that professionals take out against the defined damages in the course of their professional conduct.

Actually I have not given any documents relating to the insurance of the car so I want to know should I ask for complete documents or PI insurance will cover the vehicle provided by employer as well?

You should ask for the complete insurance because after any time there may be a need of all the documents of the car.
