I have obtained a list that is a list of prospects that have accounts invested at a few wirehouse firms. My goal is to set appointments with these prospects and tell them about EIA’s. If it is suitable of course!

I was hoping someone could give me an idea of a call script that is working for them? Or a couple questions to ask someone who is currently invested in the market to get them interested on the phone. Thanks.   It seems like it should be easy. But, I was looking for best practices from the guru's! Thanks

How about this:  “How much of your current net worth would you like to invest in a product with a 20 year surrender schedule?”

Good one! Instead of the money you have in the market that is 100% liquid...but only worth 50% of what you put in! Ouch! Somebody stop me! It hurts!

This question, on this board, is going to end up with a bunch of people slamming ALL EIAs (see above), followed by the people that do sell them, getting pi$$ed and then talking sh|t about wrap accounts and mutual funds.    They will argue about expenses, limited upside, losing 50% last year, true expenses in mutual funds, the color of the sky today, whether or not you have homosexual tendencies, and anything else you can think of.
Pretty much...

I’ll post this question over there!

BTW, I have seen snaggletooths posts on this subject and I am a big fan!

Thanks
This may be more for VA prospecting, but think along the lines of protecting retirement income while taking advantage of opportunities.   Find out if they are comfortable with their current recovery plan and then ask them what they are doing to protect themselves from future downturns.   You could say you are helping people implement a recovery plan that also protects them from future downturns.

You mat want to put this question directly to your compliance department. I suspect (assuming you do things by the book) that any good advice you may get on sales pitches may get nixed by compliance as part of an approved cold-call script. It may be easier to start with their version and go from there.

Where’s Hank Moody when I need him?

I’m sure he’s reachable on the other site. I’m also sure he’ll have some good input.
