Hi, I’m newbie and just pass S7 & 63; I’ve been searching all the

firms, and would hope to get some guidance among the firms that

mostly welcome newbies targeting the Asian Market!!

Please kindly reply seriously…

I’m thinking to apply for the firms such as AMEX, AGE and SB, RJ.

thanks alot.

who sponsored your exams?

You can target who ever you  like.   All your manager is going to care about is if you hit your numbers.

Edward Jones is the firm for you.

Logan is absolutely right.  One major interview question is usually something about how you plan to do your business.  Niche marketing is obviously one very valid way.  It's very positive if one can demonstrate they already have an "in" in particular market segments and have given thought to how they'd develop those markets.

Edward Jones love you long time.

tedtony531,

I'm serious, who sponsered you for the exams?

thanks for those reply with encouragement!

to compliancejerk;

it’s the asian local bank recommand and sponsor me, isn’t it the

trend that bank is adding the securities feature to diversify their

business!

Why are you so serious about it?

And I always like to work for the full service brokerage firm with the

bank feature! It seems SB and AGE are attractive!

Since I am a Japanese female (also an Asian), I find this type of joke very very offensive.

I don’t want to be racist or nothing, but the Asian market is tough to break into.  They don’t even trust their own kids.  I always wondered if my mother was Asian

Asian market is idea for Schwab.  10k accounts and cheap and no relationship.  they would like insurance though…the feeling of spending 80k to get 3mm at death.

Aug 10, 2005 4:48 pm

Sorry you are offended.  Could you be more specific?  I don’t see the problem.  Really.  I would like to know so that if I am dealing with Asian clients I do not offend them.
