Hey Registered Rep Users
Been lurking for a minute, but never posted before.
I have some pretty strong opinions about the new regulatory reforms and what they mean for our industry.
Figured this would be a good place to air 'em…
On the “Brokers as Fiduciaries” thing, you can read my take here: http://thereformedbroker.com/2009/06/20/what-obamas-brokers-as-fiduciaries-change-really-means/
On why over-regulating small firms caused the Too Big To Fail phenomenon: http://thereformedbroker.com/2009/06/19/howd-they-get-too-big-to-fail-in-the-first-place/
Anyway, I hope to visit more often in the future, thanks for any feedback…

For what it’s worth, I agree with a lot of what you write, so you won’t get too much bashing from me.
I don't think the new regulations will hurt the bigger firms much however. They will adapt and adjust and find yet another way to jam their finger in the eye of the investor.[quote=ReformedBroker]

Don’t feel bad. Most people don’t post in their first minute.
