If someone has time on their hands, you should search through NASD’s posts and find out how many hours he spends on this site. I’ll put the over/under at 40 hrs. per week.

I can answer that.  I spend several hours a day at my computer--reading the news, trading the market, exchaning emails, listening to music.

I have a wireless network and if my wife and I are watching a movie or television show I often am on line to do instant research reagarding a character or event.  If I'm online anyway it's just a click and here I am to share my wisdom with all of those who enjoy reading what I have to say, learn from it, and write to me to ask questions.

Don't hate me because I am everything you will never be.

Newbie  what do you think of & know about the 2
broker/dealers out of Dallas; 1st Southwest  and SWS? I’m asking
sincerely. Just curious about them as they are both based here in
Texas. Thanks. <!–

Among the most likeable people in the industry are the founding principals of SWS--Don Bucholtz and Ray Wooldridge, both retired a few years ago.  A couple of great men.

First Southwest is not as familiar to me although I have been in their offices on North Central Expressway for an NASD roundtable meeting a number of years ago--my memory is of a little guy who ran the place.  Seemed very friendly but I don't know much about them.

Both are fairly active in the clearing business--especially SWS.  When Don and Ray retired the firm was taken over by Bill Felder who had become almost legendary in the industry as their clearing guy.

Years ago I talked with them about running SWS Financial Services, which is their indy channel.  It was not that great an offer but it would have meant going home.  However, my wife and I love New York so I fooled around, hemmed and hawed and one day they actually withdrew it.  Besides not wanting to leave NYC was the issue that I had been told that my "angels" would be retiring soon and it's dangerous to take a very visible position if you have no network or angels to protect you.

Both firms are highly regarded in Texas.  I think you'd find more opportunities at SWS than First Southwest but they're remarkably similar--who knows maybe one day soon they'll get married, they're awfully small to be out there alone.

Mr. Hulk,

You can't really understand what drives Nasty Newbie to continue this labor of love.

He's the Oracle of Options.

The Nasty-damus of Wall Street Predictions.

You have a growing business, clients who rely on your insight. You have a wife and children who depend on you, and love you. You look forward to each day and work for Vacations with your family.

You have ..... a real life.

If you can stand to read half his rantings, you can see where his "experience" in this industry came from. He is a retired Wholesaler. This explains his hate for young people (they blew him off in presentations) his disrespect for women (ALSO, not interested in his boring ramblings) and his inability to stop raving on and on and on. It also explains the many wirehouses he "consulted" with. He traveled around the country pushing products. He likely met many of the people whose stories he tells, but as a wholesaler begging for a couple of tickets so he could keep his job.

He likely isn't married. And this is his miserable life now. Day after day, staring at his computer hoping to spark some controversy. He has even started several threads-only to highjack the original subject just to belittle, demean and insult others.

On a happier note, are you headed out anytime soon for a Div Trip? I got a buddy on his way to Turtle Bay Resort, Oahu today... now I DO miss that....

You can't even spell, so why should we listen to anything you say?

Didn't YOU say that???
