How easy is it to move from one branch office to another. I’m with SB and would like to move to a location closer to my home.  I live in a small town and there is a office about 5 mins away, with much nicer facilities. My manager does not cover the new location. Any thoughts on how best to approach a possible move.

It can be a bit tedous.  Clients get new account numbers.  They get 2 statements the month you move.  I would talk with your manager a let him know your thoughts.

That's not the case with all firms. but may be with SB.

Any Smith Barney people out there that can give me some insight.  Will clients get two statements?  I know they can continue to use their checks and ATM cards.

Personally I think it doesn’t sound like a wise idea.  Will be distracting to you and confusing to your clients.
