Any of you ex-jones guys out there know of a company similar to Maritz that will do trips like they do for Jones people?

Carlson Marketing (HQ in Minneapolis)  They are the biggest competitor of Maritz.

I just got back from an Oracle sales trip in Whistler,Canada with a
girl  I  date.  Ironically there was  an Ed Jones
regional  (or something or other) going on there  at
the  Westin hotel where we stayed.

Carlson did the trip for Oracle.

Carlson looks like they do big groups for companies, I was looking for a company that works with individuals.

Sounds like you are looking for a travel agency.  Carlson owns one called Carlson Wagonlit Travel.  If you can't find one locally try any reputable travel agency.

Using a travel agency is a sure way to end up paying way too much for whatever trip you take.

There is no such thing as a free lunch--the travel agency is getting paid because you're paying too much.

You can buy your plane tickets, make your hotel reservations, rent your cars all on line.

You can book a cruise on line, you can book the Orient Express on line.

Using a travel agency is as stupid as using a full service broker to trade options.

Looks like the "Master of the Obvious" has decided to chime in again.  The guy was asking for help planning a trip.  I think you would have to have been living under a rock for the last ten years if you didn't know that tickets could be bought online.  Thanks Newbie, you are an incredible help!

Wagonlit purchased Maritz.

I am willing to pay for the help and ideas, its that simple.   Thankfully, my clients do too.
