Hi,
I got certified in Series 7 & Series 66 about 2 years ago.
I am currently with H.D. Vest as a Registered Rep. I am primarily managing my own money with H.D. Vest. I get to invest in mutual funds Class A without having to pay the commission. I do not have any other clients of my own. All I want to do is to be able to invest my money in Class A mutual funds without paying the commission.
H.D. Vest in the capacity of Broker / Dealer is charging me about $1,000 a year for expenses such as "Technology fee". some insurance etc.
Let me know if you guys know of a firm where I can operate my own account as a rep for less than $1,000???
Your help is much appreciated.
Thanks
I think Quest Capital Strategies is very econmical for the self employed broker. www.qcwelcome.com I was with them while working full time as an engineer. $35 per month... supervisor fee..that was it! no need for O & E insurance or technology.

Hi,
Why don't you take the commissions that you saved and use them to pay the $1,000?
