So I quit my previous firm and moved to another, I got a call from a buddy at my old firm telling me that one of my last sales commishion was to go to another advisor in the office. Can they do that? My rep number, printed name , signature was all on the app. It was at our corporate office being processed. The manager called down and requested another advisor to take the cut. I would not care, but it was a big sale. Did I make a stupid error, or can I try to get my earnings.
Would another rep have had to place trades after you left to generate these commissions?

How big is a big sale?

Does that really matter ? One guys 2000 trade is anothers 20000 trade... Based on some of your previous posts, I think you are simply asking that question to then talk $hit about how small the trade was....
Doesnt really matter does it? The fact is, the guy is looking for advice as to what will happen and if he can salvage some commissions...
Actually, size (of the trade) does matter. If it’s a small commission, then it’s probably not worth involving a lawyer.
It's nothing to write home about; $5,000 but hey it's a sale I earned before I left.
