Yesterday one of the members Topics got me thinking as to the whole subject of STRESS. Let me preface the topic , I am NOT hawking a book or some new wave
My family bought me two books a number of years ago: 1) Joy of Stress and 2) Stress for Success by Peter G. Hanson MD. The books are not some sort of majic formula to get rich or become a new person. The interesting subject of stress is discussed from a physical and mental perspective. The short version is in essence how stress affects you as per above and gives you an insight on how it affects others ie. family , clients and co-workers etc. on a daily basis. I think that the interesting point is that the book/s give the reader an overview of how to deal with stress personally and with others. I read one of the chapters last night , Stress for Success , Chapter 7 on the workplace. Even though written in 1986 , amazing how it relates to todays times. In conclusion , if you get a chance either drop by your local library or visit Chapters and have a quick look. We are all under some level of pressure as well as our clients and family/friends. From my personal perspective , it has helped me understand the relationship of stress in dealing with both business and personal relationships. My good deed for the day!!![quote=Hobby Bull] I sell annuities. I don’t have stress.
