Roy Pearson, a lawyer and low-level judge in the nation's capital, brought his pants to the dry cleaners in May 2005 and asked them to perform $10.50 worth of alterations. The pants disappeared, and the ensuing dispute has resulted in a $65.5 million lawsuit that alleges fraud and negligence.
Heard this on CNN today; unbelievable! Another frivolous lawsuit!
The dry cleaner lost one of my buttons off my dress shirt. I wonder what that’s worth…Ok, ok, I’ll be the standup guy and settle out of court for a million.
