Every firm has a minimum # of client contacts they expect their brokers/FC’s to perform each day. I’m interested in hearing what those minimums are from a variety of different firms, both large wire houses and smaller discount firms. Any & all feedback appreciated!!!

Ok, I’ll go first. I have heard that Ed. Jones requires a min. of 25 pro-active client contacts per day. I don’t work for them, so I can’t confirm it, but that’s the # I was given. Anyone else?

It will depend whether it's a wire or indy.

One of my clients does the contacting for the brokers with their corporate marketing team, so no outside marketing is required.

Another indy I work with has no sales quotas or client acquisition goals.

I work for ML and there is not set # of contacts required. However, I try to make at least 100 outbound calls/per day to reach about 20-30 prospects from Mon-Fri. Twice a month I also come in on Sat from 8am-12pm to dial another 50-75 and to follow up on callbacks, etc.
