Business coaches

Has anyone ever hired a coach to help try to take them to the next level. In putting together next years plan I have thought about hiring one. Specifically has anyone ever used Joe Lukacs (ipginc.net)?
My broker dealer provided me oneonce...and personally I didn't care for it.
I think I am just not wired for a business coach. I firmly believe in the statement "Those who cannot do, teach."
If the guy knows so much about being a great advisor, why isn't he advising?
It's like these wholesalers who come in with their "sales ideas" and have a "great story to tell" about their mutual fund. Dig a little deeper into one of them, and they can't get past the glossy pages. No substance.
They have never sat across from a 60 year old grizzled and self made multi-millionaire and convinced them to trust them. Or consoled the little old lady who just a few months ago lost her husband after 58 years of marriage.
Maybe some people can benefit from the accountability of a business coach, similar to why some people who know how to workout still use a personal trainer...unless they are paying for it, they won't do it types.
MOST wholesalers are lame and useless and a waste of time, unless you need education in the basics(new to the biz) or you need them to write a check to support a seminar.
I was actually thinking of hiring this really cool business/life coach…he lives in a van down by the river…but I hear that he’s hard to get these days.
I’ve never used one but I’ve used other coaches. Specifically golf and personal trainers. Those have been worthwhile. I would use a business coach if I thought he/she could add value. It’s just that the few I have come across really annoy the sh!te out of me.
I have used a golf coach before, but that’s because I had played before in my life. Best money I have ever spent.

Write a nice note, but it in an empty bottle of Jack, drive upsteam about 5 miles and let 'er go… He’ll find it…
