Any indy’s out there use BISYS for insurance at all?  If I use them at all how much of a commission hit am I going to take?

I really like Bisys and on most products there is no comm hit. In fact on term products the pay can be up to 110% comm to make up for the cut my BD takes.

I think they’re pretty terrific.  If you are independent and want to do fixed business or DI, LTCi, LI through them, just call and talk to someone about what their commission structure is.  On most of that business the insurance company is going to require you to work through one of their general agents & that’s what BISYS is.  They basically are going to receive an override from your business and since most insurance companies won’t work with you directly, you have no choice.

I was referred to them by our B/D and the payouts on some companies look less than desirable.  From 50% to 75% on many term products.  I called them and asked about a direct contract but am not sure what level I need to be at insurance wise to make it doable.
