QUOTE=san fran broker] <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

The person operating under the name Bobby Hull longs for attention, so he engages in a practice known as "trolling" - he regularly insults and behaves rudely to contributors with legitimate questions in the hopes of getting multiple responses. His behavior, like that of all trolls, lowers the general level of discourse in this forum and encourages others to behave cruelly, write irresponsibly or to troll themselves.

He has had countless usernames before this one - Put Trader, NASD Newbie and has been repeatedly sanctioned by the moderators - forcing him to change his username several times. He will also operate with multiple usernames, so that he can attempt to manipulate the thread's dynamics, by making it appear that other members agree with him. Over time, his posts have become increasingly bitter and frustrated. There was once a brief period of time when he seemed to want to be taken more seriously.

I understand why you might be inclined to give him a pass - to a certain degree, there are two Bobbys (or Nastys or Putsys) - one that behaves like a juvenile and another who very occasionally produces acute observations. But his behavior, on balance, has built up so much bad blood and created so much ill will, that I think he should be classified as "irredeemable” and ignored, regardless of whether it’s one of his exceptional non-venomous posts (admittedly, I’m clearly not ignoring him now.)

The sad part is that he clearly has a fair amount of industry knowledge. As far as I can tell, he was some kind of lower level management type with a second tier brokerage in NYC for several years before retiring in 2000 or so. While his level of industry knowledge is no where near where he thinks it is, he has written some useful and insightful comments (although very few as of late). Too bad that the good is so eclipsed by the poison. He could have been one of the leaders of this online community (a position he so clearly longs for, despite what he'll tell you).

QUOTE=BYBankRep ]

Why are any of you giving <?:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Hull the time of day?

Lets look at some facts:

He has posted 729 times since March 13. That is almost 9 times a day (including weekends) If you exclude weekends he posts almost 13 times a day.

Do you really think he is the big closer he likes to talk about?

Think about it. If you posted on here 10 times a day, how much time would you have to be Mr. Prospector? He has no credibilty and I am tired of him taking good threads and degrading them to this drivel.

It would be best to just not answer him. It is obvious he is someone that doesn't have a job, or has one that he does not like and is not good at. Just leave him alone, he will go away.
Your PEERS are talking to you!  Your sarcastic drivel is boring and dull just like you!  I echo that.

No one that you hurt forgets.  If anyone thinks you are entertaining and hilarious, this puts them into the same scumbag category.

Calling you an a-hole and then saying "please forgive me" - what chickensh*t brown nosers all afraid of upsetting you since they know you will add them to your victim list.  Everyone is afraid of this idiot and won't call him on his behavior - just so he doesn't treat them like this.  Get a backbone and some STANDARDS!

Goodjob San Fran broker and NYbank rep (BH's peers) and also crashcourse who was insulted time and time again--no one forgets about your insulting behavior.  You must be stopped now.

I highly suggest that the moderators BAN you.

I encourage anyone with any sense of decency or professionlism to report Bobby Hull to the moderators.  After several reports, then, maybe they will listen.  He brings down the site and your profession.

Just because he is or may be knowledgeable about the profession and makes some good posts without sarcastic, acidic insults doesn't give him the license to continually mistreat others!

Take a stand chickensh*t brown-nosers who have your head so far up his a**, it's pathetic.

Kudos for san fran broker for calling it like he sees it!

Bobby Hull, you suck!  you bring down this site!  you bring down this professionlism.

You are not funny, hilarious or entertaining, you are simply

pathetic!  And to have these smooth talkers like JOE THE BROKER who go to bat for you is just utterly pathetic and puts them in the same scumbag category as you!  Joe the broker finally said something to you today: let's hope that he will now have higher standards and not be entertained by you mistreating others as he has in the past.

I echo that.

Bobby Hull, you are an acidic moron!  He must be reported and banned if he keeps up the bad behavior since he has nothing more productive to do.

Jun 6, 2007 5:36 pm

San Fran Broker and NY Bankrep are not "peers" of mine. I'm not gay and I'm not a moron.

I applaud you for the time that you put into creating this thread and I appreciate the attention. Sounds like I've been given free rent in the resentment section of your mind. Thanks for taking the bait. I pray that this thread lives in perpetuity and that the dogpile runs deep.

Have a nice day.

Being entertained and thinking that mistreating others is hilarious is TGP mentality.  Too bad, some have to be this way.  It does put them in the same scumbag category.

Brokers here are so sick of BobbyHull that they started their own separate site.

Hmmm, I doubt whether he can post here since obviously these professionals won't allow it!

I just got word of this:

"... better site for advisors with NO Bobby Hull. .... www.advisormechanic.com.  "

Bobby Hull:  your peers have spoken and you suck!

Go to Flaming Wars site to bash/trash since you seem to thrive on this!

If you want to maintain any crediability at all, you must stop this sick behavior now.  I highly suggest that otherwise professional, knowledgeable posters not support your bad manners any further as this casts a bad light on them, too!

I echo that!

And another peer speaks:

You should sue the government. That Agent Orange that your mom was exposed to during your second trimester did some really bad stuff.
BH ultimately you can post whatever you want, but I think this is the kind of over the top counterproductive stuff that is getting you a lot of cr*p from certain parties.  For what it's worth...
It's not worth much. It'll be forgotten in 5 to 10 minutes.

I guess Bobby is just some kind of internet sociopath who likes to hurt people. As far as trolls - a troll seeks attention, a troll is a troll.

The perspective that may be lost on some veterans here is that, a professional forum may be some people's first experience at putting themselves and their ideas out there - and those new people are already engaged in a stressful test of survival, whether they are actually new in the business or established and looking for growth or support.

Bobby is responsible for itself. It would be nice if newbees were informed of his sociopathic stature at an early stage by helpful members from time to time.

The idea of somehow tacitly condoning the " hazing " of new posters seems a bit outdated. A troll is a troll, Bobby, with its industry experience and knowledge, seems at time to be a troll with a knife.

Joe appeals to Bobby, and Bobby reserves the right to be a Sociopath. If you have ever known one, you know they don't have a conscience, a sense of right and wrong.

The real damage, as pointed out by SF and NY, is that Bobby pulls much seasoned and focused discussion down into the gutter. The arguement that a Happy Camp humor can overcome it does not square, because good debate requires passion.

Here is an action proposal: would the non industry poster who cares deeply about integrity take responsibility for being Bobby's conscience in a concise - concise, humorous, helpful way? It could be like one of those little fish that rides along with a whale. Just a little disclaimer or joke here or their - be brief! I'm sure some folks are at least a little fond of it - it cares deeply for justice. The "acid" test would be, if it does it's volunteer job and doesn't irritate Joe Broker.
I echo that!

I think Bobby is related to Dirk, but not NASD or Put Trader.

I tend to agree.
"... better site for advisors with NO Bobby Hull. .... www.advisormechanic.com.  "
89 users there.  That's impressive.

I think I’ll stay here…don’t need to waste time on TWO forums…

Jun 7, 2007 12:53 am

Honestly, who cares about any of this. I do because I’m bored and I have no life, but normal people should not.

If that website is so good, why don't you go there?

By the way, in case the mods are looking you just violated TOS by posting a link to a competing website/forum.  Not that it's very good competition.

Sounds like sour grapes cause trolls dont last long on TGP, been booted a few times have we?

no interest in a site where you have to jump through hoops in order to post.

Joe appeals to Bobby, and Bobby reserves the right to be a Sociopath. If you have ever known one, you know they don't have a conscience, a sense of right and wrong.

Hmmm, sounds like you want to hire me but only if I don't make this Joe the Broker feller upset.  It doesn't seem to take much to rattle his cage.  I am not interested in the job.  I simply point out things and then I am done.  I've done my job: not interested in long term employment doing this, sorry.  Hope this was brief enough for you.

But thanks for letting me know I have your approval to be little Jimmie Cricket and hop along side this Bully and frequently point out how he is so abrasive towards others.  That really gives me peace of mind knowing I have your approval.  But, nope: already done my job: been there and done that.  So you can continue to let him know when he crosses the line which will be frequently.

We already saw how he enjoys baiting.  He thrives on the extra attention.

The real damage, as pointed out by SF and NY, is that Bobby pulls much seasoned and focused discussion down into the gutter.

And if you think I'll want a job of being a little fish to swim beside this Broker Whale and "so gently, so briefly" whisper and say "watch it, that's not nice!" ....don't think so! ...since he seems to be cloning himself with this bully freak: nope, not interested in long term employment here.  Whether I am in the industry or not: not interested in this job but thanks for pointing out what parameters meet your approval.

My gig is up.  You can call him on his behavior; however, it's joe da brkr who can really help encourage him to have higher standards; that is, once he raises his own standards but recall, he finds BH's antics hillarious and entertaining.  Likely that you will see him encourage higher standards since he loves TGP and in fact didn't say a thing when TGP attempted to tarnish planrcoach by changing his posts in a very derogatory manner.  For you see, he found all of this entertaining and hilarious.  Maybe not brief enough ...but ain't interested in the job!

I don't have the interest.  I only point out the wrongs and attempt to right them: my job is done here!

It keeps the riff raff away.  No trolls and great usable information.

You are such a complete joke and a liar to boot!  It was never "your job" parachute/goforbroke/madison/echo.  You are not and never have been welcome here.  (Yeah I know this is the part where you tell us you're free to post here.....)

And here you are saying goodbye again.  What a crock of sh*te.  You'll be back in mere hours hassling us again...that is unless you find some other online forum to pollute that serves to be more fertile ground to you.....
