Strategies to Deal with Risk

There is plenty going on globally to create volatility and risk, says Mike Natale, the head of funds distribution at Northern Trust Asset Management, at the 2020 Inside ETFs conference.

"We are expecting volatility," Natale said, noting the coronavirus, the U.S. presidential election, U.S.-China trade talks and the Federal Reserve as all issues that may lead to greater volatility in the year ahead. 

Yet, as a result of the solid 2019 in the markets and to mitigate risk, Natale said Northern Trust recently launched a quality low volatility suite that has drawn interest from individual investors, advisors and institutional clients.
