Inside ETFs’ Hidden Gems of 2019

By Inside ETFs

The ETF industry was built on innovation. Ours is a disruptive industry, constantly pushing the boundaries to create better outcomes for investors.

But almost 25 years into the ETF experiment, it’s getting harder and harder for the best new ideas to break through. The largest ETFs get the bulk of the flows, and platforms and wire houses are making it increasingly hard for small funds to compete. In the fog, some truly exceptional funds are being overlooked.

Inside ETFs, the largest ETF conference for financial advisors and ETF providers, wants to change that. Based on the success of our “Hidden Gems” session at last year’s Inside ETFs conference, we put out a call to issuers to submit their best hidden gems for 2019—funds with less than $400 million in assets that offered unique exposures to a range of markets. Numerous submissions flooded the office, many with unique ideas and exposures, and some with the promise of alpha. In the end, the Inside ETF staff found a dozen funds that we thought were truly worthy of the “hidden gem” title.

You’ll see these 12 unique funds here, but there is more.  Join us at Inside ETFs Feb. 10 to 13 in Hollywood, Fla., to hear from the issuers themselves on how they built and manage these exchange-traded products. We want to shine a light on the best innovation taking place within the ETF marketplace. Read the profiles that follow carefully - they are truly exceptional products. Don’t let these gems stay hidden any longer.
