Two Michigan-Based OSJs Merge Under LPL

The combined super OSJ will have more than 100 advisors and $4 billion in assets under advisement.

The Center for Wealth Planning, a Troy, Mich.-based office of supervisory jurisdiction affiliated with LPL Financial, will merge with America Group Retirement Strategy Centers, an LPL enterprise based in Southfield, Mich. The combined super OSJ will have more than 100 advisors and $4 billion in assets under advisement.

The Center for Wealth Planning was founded by Joseph Ruzycki in 2005, and it now encompasses more than 20 branches. The firm has been affiliated with LPL for the last 10 years.

America Group Retirement Strategy Centers was founded in 1982 by Craig Snyder, who became affiliated with LPL in 2003. The firm serves both independent advisors, as well as those at banks and credit unions.

Ruzycki will oversee the firm’s independent advisors as a managing principal, while Synder will serve institutional advisors, CPAs, banks, credit unions and law firms as managing principal.

Under the combined firm, advisors will have access to local consultants, who can help them with financial planning, IT, marketing and social media.
