Voya Adds to Financial Education Offerings

The tool is designed to take into account different needs depending on the individual’s age and socioeconomic demographics.

Voya Financial launched their new Financial Wellness Experience on Tuesday, a resource center for educational articles and tips, as well as planning tools, according to the company. Users completing a brief financial assessment will receive a customized financial summary and dashboard with steps for improving their financial outlook. The tool is designed to take into account different needs depending on the individual’s age and socioeconomic demographics, said Voya.

In a pilot study of the new wellness tools, Voya found that more than 80 percent of users continued to use the portal to learn more about improving their financial picture.

Voya created six categories for financial success, including protection, spending and saving, emergency funds, retirement, debt and other savings goals. The company developed the categories because retirement savings don’t exist “in a vacuum,” said Christine Lange, SVP of retirement digital solutions at the company. “We believe in a holistic wellness approach.”

The tool complements the interactive education experience myOrangeMoney online and is rounded out by financial wellness seminars, educational campaigns and phone-based support offered by Voya.
