SMArtX Offers Outsourced CIO Services

TAMP makes it easier for advisors to provide portfolio recommendations and analysis.

Turnkey asset management platform SMArtX now has an outsourced chief investment officer service, according to the company. Pascal Roduit, who formerly worked for hedge fund sponsor Mercer Park LP, was hired as chief investment strategist to lead the new offering.

Advisors using SMArtX's OCIO services will have access to institutional strategy analysis and portfolio construction recommendations, which are suggested based on advisors' current needs and criteria. One available option for advisors is to add OCIO services to conference calls with clients, facilitate webinars on portfolio construction or even attend meetings, according to the company. SMArtX also makes monthly macroeconomic newsletters available to advisors' clients.

“We have seen growing demand for additional strategy analysis and assistance with portfolio construction from our advisory clients, particularly as it relates to incorporating alternative strategies into client portfolios in this increasingly volatile market,” CEO Evan Rapoport said. The company has more than 475 investment strategies, a rebalancer and proposal generation tools in its offering.
