The competition is set. XY Planning Network announced the finalists for its 3rd Annual FinTech Competition scheduled for Sept. 25 in St. Louis, Mo. The finalists will be judged by a panel of fintech experts, including Michael Kitces, co-founder of XYPN.
The tech submissions are geared specifically for financial advisors, and past winners have included Vestwell, run by Aaron Schumm, a 2017 WealthManagement.com “Ten to Watch” finalist, Snappy Kraken, a 2018 finalist for WealthManagement.com’s own Industry Awards, and ScratchWorks, a FinTech accelerator.
This year’s finalists are: Approach, a prospecting and onboarding tech; Life Stage Insights, a turnkey client “discovery solution”; Payitoff, a student loan repayment scheduler; Take Command Health, a health insurance resource; Touchstone Pathway, a behavioral evaluation tool; and Yourefolio, an estate and legacy planning tool.
Winners receive promotional support and media introductions—benefits that Robert Sofia described as a “game changer.” Sofia, the CEO and founder of 2016 winner Snappy Kraken, said that “within the first three months of winning, we went from zero to over $700,000 in sales, landed two large enterprise accounts, and attracted significant investor interest.”
