Real estate is considered a key asset class and an important piece of a diversified portfolio. As the digital world continues to rapidly develop along with ever-changing consumer shopping habits, certain sectors in the real estate industry may be poised to benefit, including data and infrastructure, industrials and retail. The most obvious example of this is through the e-commerce supply chain.

When a consumer places an online order, the order is sent to a cell tower or fiber-optic network, processed in a data center and fulfilled in an industrial warehouse. In order to satisfy this demand, companies must build out more sophisticated networks and construct and operate high-quality, productivity-enhancing industrial properties.

This webinar will address:

  • The rise of the publicly traded real estate space due to e-commerce, the internet of things, streaming, 5G, and artificial intelligence.
  • How to “deFANG” a portfolio through technology opportunities that exist in real estate
  • The opportunity in REIT ETFs versus other types real estate investments
  • How REITS fit in a portfolio
