The Financial Planning Association has appointed Paul Auslander as its 2011 president-elect, succeeding 2011 President Martin Kurtz. Auslander, who will start Jan. 1, 2012, is chairman and CEO of American Financial Advisors and a registered representative with Foothills Securities. FPA also elected six new members to its board of directors, including Samuel Gallucci of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney;

Auslander, who will start Jan. 1, 2012, is chairman and CEO of American Financial Advisors and a registered representative with Foothills Securities. FPA also elected six new members to its board of directors, including Samuel Gallucci of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney; Archibald Hoxton IV, of Hoxton Financial; Julie Littlechild of Advisor Impact; Keith Loveland of Loveland Consulting; Mark Prendergast of Inspired Financial; and James Tissot of Prism Planning. Their three-year terms start Jan. 1.

Boston-based Pillar Financial Advisors, an independent financial advisory firm, has tapped Alice Finn as its new co-president. Finn co-founded Ballentine, Finn and Company, Inc., an independent wealth management firm, which has changed its name to Ballentine Partners.

Genworth Financial Wealth Management has beefed up its marketing team with four new hires: Stacy Orff-Whitfield, director of marketing communications, Diana Lee and Steve Hoffmeister, product managers for its web propreties and Constance Scott, new senior financial writer.
