PRESS RELEASE: Jones Lang LaSalle Hires Philip Palmer to Lead NYC Brokerage

NEW YORK CITY — Jones Lang LaSalle has hired Philip Palmer as an executive managing director at its New York City office, where he will be responsible for the management of the office’s brokerage operation, supervising more than 100 brokers.

Palmer, 50, has more than 25 years of experience in sales and sales leadership, with particular expertise in sales strategy, training, management and professional development. Palmer will report to Jones Lang LaSalle’s tri-state leadership team: Peter Riguardi, president of New York Tri-state region; Stephen Schlegel, chief operating officer of New York Tri-state region, and Raymond Quartararo, director of business development.

In his role as broker lead, Palmer will manage the day to day operations of JLL’s NYC brokerage business, develop a growth strategy for the business and lead recruiting efforts to support that strategy.

“Phil brings critical experience and skill to Jones Lang LaSalle at a time when our brokerage operations are expanding significantly,” said Riguardi. “His expertise will help to develop our younger brokers, streamline existing transactions and coordinate brokerage services across the firm’s different business lines.”

Palmer joins Jones Lang LaSalle from CBRE, where he was managing director of the firm’s Midtown Manhattan brokerage division.  Prior to joining CBRE in 2009, Palmer was Vice President of Eastern Sales for Quebecor World, Inc., managing the Eastern region sales force.  Palmer began his career in 1988 with RR Donnelley, selling commercial printing services to book and magazine publishers.  Palmer is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York and a Program Committee Member of New York’s Urban Land Institute.
