It was supposed to be the year that we moved past the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, we are ending 2021 with yet another variant causing a surge that's throwing a wrench into a full return to normalcy.
Despite that, commercial real estate largely had a good year. Most sectors saw fundamentals improve and commercial real estate investment volume was back on par with 2019. Throughout 2021, we brought guests on to our Common Area podcast to discuss what they were seeing in every property type and how investors are approaching the sector.
