Good morning all,  I’ve been w/ EDJ for almost 4 years.  Recently been informed that JPMorgan needs my help.  I know that I need to inform EDJ of my move.  What’s the best way to do it?  Submit my 2 weeks or quit the day before my start date w/ JPMorgan?  Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

You won’t get two weeks.  You’re a risk to the firm once you tell them that you’re leaving and they’ll send someone to your office and lock you out the minute you tell them.  So, quit the day before you go to JPM.

Austin, where do you live and how big is your office?

First of all JPMorgan doesn't need your help. Secondly, Spiff is right, you are a risk to the firm and you will be removed. Have all of your crap out of the office, fax a resignation letter to Field Supervision, leave your keys with BOA and never look back.

Austin,

It took me 2 minutes to find you on Jones link.  I think you should delete this screename and at very least remove your personal information from it ... you salsa dancing fool.    Your friend,   Volt

Jamie Dimon must be relieved knowing help is on the way...lol   By the way, you're probably going to work at a Chase Bank, not a JP Morgan office

I’m sure they do need his help.  They have an opening and have asked him to fill it.  Is that hard to understand?  Never been recruited before?

Nov 16, 2009 4:46 pm

Yeah, by the EXACT SAME COMPANY. They don’t NEED my help or his help or anyone’s help. Can he benefit them ? Yes. Do the NEED him?  No.

Aren't you still working out of your house? And to think i almost had respect for you based on your past military service.

Sure they do, within his area / region or whatever Chase calls it they need him.  As part of a macro orgnization he won't matter.  Business is done locally though, so without a doubt they are excited to have him on board.  You're a bit jaded there Ronny.

*yawn*  I think it's cute you created this screenname to stalk me but your humor is as weak as your mind.

I PROSPECT DOOR TO DOOR.  I'M GOOD AT IT.  IN SIX MONTHS I HAVE 2 SEVEN FIGURE ACCOUNTS AND 7 SIX FIGURE ACCOUNTS FROM GOING DOOR TO DOOR.  BY YEARS END I'LL HAVE AT LEAST 14 SIX FIGURE ACCOUNTS FROM GOING .... wait for it....  DOOR TO DOOR.

Oh, and I've closed business cold calling at night... and from referrals.  Soon seminars and networking.  Yep, I like it all.  As long as it puts $$$ in my pocket I don't care how much a piker like you respects me.

Seriously I do hate people. You have to figure 9 out of 10 people you meet are complete tools. So if you just figure they are tools until they prove otherwise you will be happier in the long run. Who is with me ?

+1.  The problem though is that if you are the one that is not the tool, then I am a tool.  How about you and I are the non-tools out of twenty?

To the OP - send in your two weeks notice.  You never know when you might need a reference.
