Gone!

Howdy everyone.
Just wanted to let everyone know that after much consideration and waiting for the offer to be 90%, I jumped from Jones to Smith Barney on Friday. Got a great reaction from my clients.
What it all boiled down to was I was really getting tired of the Jones BS, the CRAPPY health insurance and the dawning reality that Jim Weddle is kind of a richard cranium.
Not to mention the $500-$600 of office expenses that came out of my paycheck every month.
Seriously, there was $1300 coming out of my paycheck for benefits and office expenses every month. So that's how much each month started in the hole.
There will be $400/month coming out of my paycheck for benefits at SB and I pick up dental and vision insuarnce in the deal. My health insurance deductible went from $2500/$5000 for the family to $100/200 for the family with NO OFFICE EXPENSES! so it's basically a $900 raise a month on the same production.
So, thanks again for the input. I'll keep you posted.
Jones was a great place to start a career, but it was time to move on.

and by the way:
LP="rockstar, the partners feel you have done such a good job building your business that we are rewarding you by letting you GIVE US MORE OF YOUR MONEY!!!!"
SO-I will be buying Citigroup stock at a 33% discount to the prevailing market price and I will not have to wait around for someone to ask me.

Pretty effin good, knucklehead, pretty effin good.
Jones can take their koolaid, freeze it, and snort it for all I care.
After I saw the technology and platform at Smith Barney, I knew I was in the wrong place.
Congratulations. Keep us posted on how much grief jones will give you. How soon before they hit you with a tro, etc. Any specifics on your deal would be appreciated also. doubleb
Always good to hear when you flee from the cult. It's like VE day if your old enough to know what VE day is.
Good luck and don't look back.

Regardless of age, I would have to say that it's sad if anyone in this country does not know what VE day is.

Get ready to pull out your hankie. 52% of high school students don't even know that Russia was our ally in WWII and thought Italy was on our side.
The schools don't teach squat about history anymore and even less on geography. How can we expect them to know what VE Day is when they have never been taught. Don't get me started on English and Math. Sometimes I think we deserve to be catapulted back into the 9th century by the ignorant savages from the radical Muslim movement who want us all to grovel in the dirt with them.
You stick your head in the sand, all it does is expose your ass.
…I’m going to have to profess ignorance or at least a bad memory…I’ve heard of VJ day, but I don’t recall VE day…what was that…victory over Edward Jones?!!
I completely agree. The educational system would rather tiptoe around failing students, much less holding a student back a grade if they aren’t where they need to be developmentally or mentally. It’s seriously a very sad state of affairs when the majority of the population under the age of 25 knows who won American Idol, and have no idea who ran against Bush in 2000 or 2004.
Yeah, the education system reminds me of the EDJ communication system…very old and out dated.
The American education system has been the tool of the NEA and the teachers’ unions for far too long. The state of that system and 30+ years of outright abuse and the spreading of half-truths and misinformation is all too evident by any snapshot of today’s youth. I can’t freaking stand to write a check twice a year for property taxes that largely fund this greatest of government failures.
Wow, Rockstar–your departure is being spoken about in the same circles as some pretty major historical events. You must be da bomb.

VJ Day was Victory over Japan... VE Day was Victory in Europe.
Oh, and everyday is Victory over Jones day
Where is the well spring of self respect that would allow an adult to admit they had no idea what VE day meant?

Thanks for the history lesson, Mike...I'll just have to chalk that up to something that got crowded out of my mind over the years since history class...enjoyed the funny also...
Sorry to see that the bad rash is back again...moderators...HELP!!!
At least they admitted that they didn’t know what it was, as opposed to pretending that they did, or not mentioning it at all. I would wager to think that fewer people know what VJ day was.
