I am a former employee of Matson Money. I can attest that PBarnard and JChoi DO indeed know Mark Matson--and are NOT Mark. And that Matson Money is a legitimate company with integrity. I will add, however, that Mark Matson is an insanely egotistical nut. His whole company is founded upon nepotism. His sister-in-law is the VP of Marketing (pulling in over $300K a year, with no college degree) and her mother is her assistant. And her cousin is the Executive Project Manager...sorry to say that there are a lot of hard-working employees there that don't get their due--because heaven forbid the executive family members feel threatened due to their own inferiority and inabilities.
Mark is a very brilliant (no matter how cheesy) guy. If he would pull his head out of his a$$ and take note of all the wonderful employees that make his company successful --even inspite of his family members--there would be no ceiling of complexity to be had at that company.
But when you have employees who are "job-scared," and Mark is surrounded by a few "yes-men"-- Matson Money won't be able to reach its full potential.

Wow. You guys are such haters. Is the guy a complete tool shed? Absolutely. However, the guy does have about $2B under management, which is about $2B more that myself or any of you guys that poke around this forum to kill time throughout the day.
Love him or hate him, the guy is killing it. Why is it so hard for you guys to admit when someone is making a ridiculous amount of money in this business and wildly successful in terms of growth? Instead, you go the junior high route of making fun of him and point at how stupid his shirts are.
I've spoken with Mark and have some of his materials. Do I believe everything he says, no. But, he does has a great system, which is why many advisors rely on him for their marketing, asset management and practice processes. His system works.
Why not bypass the creep factor of him and try to uncover how the heck the guy has $2B under management and maybe you can learn something to help your business.

hahahahaahahahahaahahahahahaahahahahahahaahahahahaha. Our site sucks so much that you make a new username almost everyday for whatever reason. It takes me about three clicks to delete your "new" personas. If our site sucks so much, how on earth does it bother you so much that you would waste your valuable time to come and make up new usernames? 5 this week! Typically the amount of effort in the response is indicative of the emotional attachment one has when rejected. You must have loved that site.

Who wants to be part of that site? It has 10 activie users. They include: a failing bank broker, a guy that sells 403bs, a few indy guys that can't afford assistants, a couple of ameriprise jr. partner types, and two doche bag moderators. One a compliance moron and the other a 200k producer that thinks he knows something.
You guys have recruitment drives because you have no active users. 10 guys with 3000+ posts each. LOSERS

The other site isn't the same as this site. I could sit and list the ways I feel the other site is better, but instead I suggest that everyone check it out for themselves. You have decided that this site is a better fit for you, great. Others have decided the other site is better, wonderful. The point is, all we ask is you make up your own mind by checking it out. We understand not everyone will be impressed and that is ok. As far as MLgone, he has been banned from both sites. He put up 3800 posts of drivel over there in 10 months. He is very angry that after repeated warnings we finally told him to go away. Now we have an internet stalker. All we have left to acquire are the robo-spammers and then we will know we have arrived. The law: - “The older that a forum becomes, the more reasons that Moderators find to ban the members”. Eventually so many people have been banned and so many posts inevitably produce hair trigger responses from the forum administrators that the dreaded condition “Moderator Induced Necrosis” begins to set in. Moderators become more concerned with their own status than the health of the forum and posters begin to drift away to other places where they can speak their minds without having to kowtow to a bunch of people who have been overcome by their own self-importance. In the final stage, all that is left in the forum are (a) the Moderators, (b) the occasional newbie who has wandered in by mistake, soon to leave, (c) the forum arselickers and (d) one or two trolls with the energy left to be entertaining. Soon after that, like a sun collapsing of old age, the forum dies, with only about ten members talking to each other about the same things over and over again, stubbornly soldiering on out of sheer inertia or perhaps even nostalgia. The irony is that if only the forum founders – who have often left a previous forum in disgust at the lack of freedom of speech - remembered their origins and removed the collective sticks from their anuses then the forum would probably have survived.

I don't know who this guy is, but the first 90 secs of the vid is a waste of bandwidth. Ironically, the guy looks like he belongs in Boogie Nights with what he's wearing. But, that's just a taste thing. Nothing wrong with self promotion. What's the issue here?
For us guys working for wires or regionals, we could never get away with posting a video like that.
We could post it, but it would be our last day in the biz.

You do realize MLgone that we have banned a total of 3 people over there, you and two others. If our forum is so pathetic, why do you keep responding to me? Why do you keep coming back making up new usernames? It seems to me that when something is beneath me, I usually don't spend any time on it. You on the other hand keep coming back. You must have loved that site. We laugh at the fact you are relegated to this site. You know, the site you complained about over and over and over and over again through your 400 posts a month.
