Six Ways the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act May Affect Tax Planning

It’s not too late to help clients update their plans.

The start of a new year is the perfect time to review your clients’ planning documents and update them in light of federal tax reform, new state tax laws and new family situations. 

If the turn of the calendar year doesn’t inspire your clients enough to create or review their plans, the Tax Cut and Jobs Act should, as there are many changes to the tax laws enacted last December 2017. Here are some key points for clients to keep in mind.
