10 Examples of Santiago Calatrava's Jaw-Dropping Architecture

Spanish architect and engineer Santiago Calatrava is renowned for his sweeping and iconic designs. His work has an organic feel while also boasting innovative engineering. The results are sweeping structures, including bridges, museums, campuses and civic buildings. Calatrava’s latest projects include the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church currently under construction in downtown Manhattan. It is a redesign of a church that was destroyed by the collapse of the World Trade Center during the September 11 terrorist attacks. He also designed the World Trade Center Transportation Hub and Occulus, which will house Westfield's new mall. Here are 10 examples of his work.
