Casey C. Verst focuses his practice on estate planning for individuals and families, the administration of estates and trusts, and fiduciary and probate litigation. Casey has drafted a wide variety of estate planning documents and has handled all aspects of trust and estate administration, including filing estate and gift tax returns, filing probate petitions and drafting distribution agreements.
Prior to joining Katten, Casey practiced in estate planning and trust and estate administration at a law firm in Beverly Hills and at a law firm in the San Francisco Bay Area.
In 2012, Casey served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at UC Hastings College of the Law, teaching a course on practical skills in probate and estate planning. Additionally, he served as a legal research attorney at the San Francisco Probate Court through the Bridge Fellowship at UC Hastings, researching and preparing recommendations for the Supervising Probate Court Judge.
Prior to attending law school, Casey worked in the legal department at Google Inc., drafting a variety of commercial contracts.
