Is this deal going to happen?  We have heard nothing in our office since it was announced.  Absolutely nothing.  Beginning to wonder if the deal is off and UBS is just going to close the small offices and leave us hung out to dry.  Many small regional firms are no longer taking on new offices.  The silence is deafening.

Are you sure yours is one of the offices that is getting bought?

Yes he is sure and so am I. We have heard little if anything from SF lately. They do update a specific intranet site set up for those branches which have been sold on the UBS netwrok but that is for mundane type of things.

No word on conversion dates, what they are going to do with NFA's, other big issues, etc..   Krap - My PM's are not working. I can see the message but not read it. Anyone else having this issue?

Hearing through the grapevine that many of the larger producers affected by the sale have moved to other shops…and received large checks to do so.

Losing the larger producers makes the deal much less attractive to Stiffel.  They do have the option of refusing some of the targeted offices.

check on SF website, investor relations, press releases.  They were bragging it up.
