Seeing all the changes in our industry; its hard to imaginefirms paying upfront cash to reps. This is sad cause it was nice knowing that if things got really bad - you could get bailed out by taking a deal. Unless you're producing $1mill+ you're sol.

heard today in my area over 1000 reps have talks going with UBS and  all their branches pretty much full.  Would hate to be the 1001st guy to call them up be looking for a nice check if your doing 400k or below

Vin, you are dead on. I guess the only place left to go is Merrill. UBS is full, mssb is 20,000 brokers strong. Oh, i guess Wachovia.
Hardly enough competition to keep the deals up.
