Hi all, I’m graduating next spring and am interviewing for an internship at UBS. During a recent event I was told that if I want to become an FA with the branch I would first have to start as a Wealth Strategy Associate and after 4-5 years of building up my contacts I would then be eligible to transition to an FA role. I’ve found very little information regarding this position and it seems this title is exclusive to UBS. Would anyone be able to provide insight into the role or UBS wealth management as a whole?

The teams that spoke to us explicitly stated there would be little to no prospecting during this role. All the teams are fairly established. The top team I believe has 3.1 billion AUM and the smallest team had about 800 million AUM.
