I spent part of my day today in the office, catching up and catching my breath.At about 1pm i sent out an email to about 25 clients and prospects, inviting them to listen in on a conference call on the muni market, and credit markets in general. I purposely did not include the dial information, asking them to contact me by reply email or call me for the dial in, if they were interrested. I did this because i wanted to gauge the reaction. I have already gotten 5 responses, and its 6 pm on SATURDAY!!! My point is, people are starved for informationa and guidance. This is a tough time, but its also a golden opportunity for us to strut our shit! Its also a great time to be getting referrals from the clients who get it, and whith whom we have strong relationships. Just my two cents.
2% or 5:25 on a Sunday, that's great! (2-3% response/transactions out of the number of those you reach in any marketing is considered good to great.) Targeting and Timing has alot to do with successful marketing efforts as with portfolio management, don't they?
