Today, Copper futures were trading down at the time of noon trade in the local market as investors, observers and speculators exited positions in the industrial metal as US manufacturing succumbed to a surprise contraction in the month of Nov, indicating renewed weakness in the world’s largest economy, darkening the requirement overview for copper. Copper futures for February 2016 contract were trading at Rs.309.75 per 1 kg, down by 0.19 per-cent, after opening at Rs. 310.05, against the last ending price of Rs. 310.35.
