ESABATM,

I think you are going to be disapointed to know that as of 06' you have to have at least a Bach. degree to sit for the CFP Exam.

I doubt if ESABATM cares.  ESABATM is a CPA, which implies a Bachelor’s degree and has already indicated that he/she has no interest in getting the CFP.

ESABATM,

To the man with a hammer, every problem is a nail....

How can someone who is a CPA suggest that learning a little bit more about true financial planning is a waste of time?  Sorry, but diversifying into 3 lg cap Am Fds is not financial planning.  Your distaste of knowledge is amusing

Real estate is hot....if I could sell like you, I'd look into getting that R/E license and sell some timeshares and put that little-man complex to work.....

WOW, there is a lot of HATE and DISTAIN for the "CFP" on here?

What does it all mean?

Education is not a bad thing, but unfortunately our businees has way too many people in it, that are educated and can't sell crap............You can't help anyone unless you can get them to take action.

There are a lot of CFP's, CLU's, and all the other letters we use that are out of the business because they couldn't sell.

Learn how to sell first, then go get whatever letters that will make you feel good, because it does not make a difference to your clients, if you make them money..........
